Alan Osmond, born in Ogden, Utah, died at about 8:30 p.m. on Monday, April 20, at age 76. He had retired from performing after a multiple sclerosis diagnosis roughly 40 years ago. Donny and Merrill posted tributes; Merrill said he was grateful to be with Alan shortly before he passed. Alan is survived by his wife Suzanne Pinegar Osmond of 51 years, their eight sons, 30 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Marie emphasized Alan’s devotion to faith and family and remembered his work helping launch the Children’s Miracle Network Telethon and the One Heart Foundation, noting his commitment to service and music that touched many lives.
