In a February 2025 sit-down on the Outlaws podcast with TS Madison—released April 21—Montero Hill described a year spent anxious and reluctant to be seen. He said he had to embark on a self-love journey, accept himself and stop forcing constant change, and even reevaluated his inner circle, parting ways with several team members.
He addressed tensions between his bold promotional style and public expectations as a Black, gay artist, insisting he cannot be a flawless representative for any community and that imperfection is part of being human.
